Archers festive tractor run

Thank you

Archers festive tractor run, what a fantastic seasonal event this is.  There are not many events that can bring so many communities together in the way the tractor run does.  Crowds always line the streets along the route in all weathers to thoroughly enjoy seeing all the vehicles go by, the lights, the sounds and the friendliness of everyone is amazing.

What we don’t see is all the hard work that goes into this behind the scenes, months of organisation, preparation and team work.  Contacting the local authorities, informing the the police, getting all the charities together and organising all the different ways of raising funds.  This year Archers Festive Tractor Run supported 4 Charities, Leicestershire MS Therapy Centre, Loros, wishes 4 Kids and Rainbows, raising £9070.80 for each charity.  How fantastic is that?. On behalf of the trustees, centre members and myself we would like to say thank you so very much to everyone that was involved in such a wonderful event. We would also like to thank all those that came out to help with bucket collections young and old.

I would also like to take this opportunity to say thank you to Rob and Amy at Woodbrig House Farm for making us feel so welcome.  All four charities were invited to Woodbrig House Farm to receive funds raised from the bucket collections.  When I arrived I was asked by Ronnie their youngest son; if I would like a cup of tea.   Jenson who is only 13 was there to welcome us and tell us about the farm and answered any questions we had, what a confident lovely young man he is.  Amy, Rob, Jenson and Ronnie and many dogs, were all very welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much for them.

Ryan Archer, well what can we say? You put so much of your time into organising this event, we would never be able to show you how much you are appreciated. Thank you for everything that you do to make this event a reality and raising crucial funds for the centre.

Once again thank you to everyone, for all the hard work and support you have all given to our charity over the last four years.
